Eastside Culture Crawl

When: Friday, November 20 until Sunday, November 22
Where: Various locations around East Vancouver
What is it: An excuse to traipse around East Vancouver’s best artist’s residences. This 4-day visual arts, design and crafts festival involves more than 20,000 people visiting artists in their studios. (more info)

Jurassic Park: The Musical!

When: Friday, November 20 until Saturday, November 21
Where: The York Theatre (639 Commercial Drive)
What is it: A laugh-out-loud satire featuring a singing chorus of tap-dancing dinosaurs, comedy, vaudeville, and parodies of popular songs. Witty dialogue and hilarious songs make this musical parody a must-do for this weekend. (more info)

Vancouver Laser Show

When: Friday, Nov 21 and Saturday, Nov 21st from 7pm – 11pm
Where: BCIT 3700 Willingdon Avenue, Building SW3
What is it: It’s back! The Vancouver Laser Show has a home once more at the BCIT Planetarium. Lasers, Pink Floyd and more lasers. $11 (more info)

Where: Grouse Mountain, Cypress Mountain, Whistler Mountain
What is it: Take advantage of the snow because you’ll never know if it will all melt like last year! Three local mountains are opening up this weekend for some fun, early-season riding. (more info)

Icons Vintage Market

When: Saturday, November 21st from 11am – 5pm
Where: Biltmore Cabaret (2755 Prince Edward)
What is it: A heavily curated and highly anticipated vintage clothing and goods market that is not to be missed. It’s also 19+ so you can get sloshed and make some wise purchase decisions. $3 (more info)

Vancouver Christmas Market

When: Saturday, Nov 21st until December 24th
Where: Queen Elizabeth Theatre Plaza (650 Hamilton Street)
What is it: Food, Christmas gifts, lots of activities, and mulled wine. Outdoor European-style festival with a carousel. Open daily from 11am – 9pm with $8 admission (or check Groupon). (more info)

Moustache Miler

When: Saturday, November 21st at 10:30am
Where: Stanley Park
What is it: A fun 5K run in Stanley Park to support Movember and moustaches. It’s more of a good time then a race and the finisher medals are pretty awesome. (more info)

Mec Snowfest

When: Saturday, November 21st from 10:00am – 3pm
Where: MEC Vancouver (130 West Broadway)
What is it: The in-store Festival and Snow Swap is going to get rolling around 10am, and there will be fun activities, prizes and clinics running throughout the day. (more info)


When: Saturday, November 21st from noon – 7pm
Where: Yaletown
What is it: Kick off the holiday season with this free festival in Yaletown. There will be street performers, costumed characters, food, and deals to get started on your holiday shopping. (more info)

Taboo Revue Burlesque Showcase

When: Saturday, November 21st at 8pm
Where: The Wise Hall (1882 Adanac Street)
What is it: A graduation show of sorts featuring the debut of Vancouver’s newest burlesque performers. Brand new original solos and a fabulous finale spectacular! $15 (more info)

Where: Commodore Ballroom
What is it: Gypsy punk that will get you sweating. An awesome experience even if you’ve never heard their music. Wear some purple if you want to feel cool. (more info)

Blim Market

When: Sunday, November 22 from noon – 6pm
Where: Heritage Hall (3102 Main Street)
What is it: Local craft market featuring very unique crafts and usually lots of cat print. Handmade accessories, jewelry, vintage, pottery, sweets and more from 50 local vendors. Entry by donation. (more info)

Kitty Nights Burlesque

What is it: East and West get tangled up in a sexy web on Sunday November 22nd for one wild night of burlesque and variety at the EAST MEETS WEST BURLESQUE show! (more info)
