Now that the city has cooled down a bit, it’s a great time to get back out there and take part in some of the fun activities you may have been avoiding in favour of crashing on the beach.

This weekend is packed to the gills with markets, a festival dedicated to brunch, naked bike rides, a brewery and meat festival, and so much more… Check out some of the highlights for this weekend below:

  • North Vancouver Shipyards Market – Live music, a beer garden, food, art, music… Dogs are allowed and you can by things like jewelry, clothing, baking, organic meats, and much more.
  • Hike Rave – Dance your way up a mountain then party while overlooking our beautiful city. A naturally euphoric social experience you do not want to miss.
  • Spice World (With The Spice Gurlz Live Drag Shadowcast!) – Get your platform shoes, British accents, and Union Jack dresses ready because everybody’s favourite 90’s girl group comes alive onstage with a live shadowcast provided by Vancouver’s own Spice Gurlz!

  • Brewery & the Beast Meat Festival – Sold out, but maybe tickets will be available from scalpers at the gate? The second annual Festival of Meat showcases locally-sourced meats with food, cooking demos, and beer pairings. 19+
  • Grownups Read Things They Wrote as Kids – an open-mic evening of book reports, poetry, diary entries, letters from camp, etc. — all read out loud by adults to a room full of strangers.
  • Summer Jam at Trout Lake – A fun afternoon of jamming with musical insturments, dancing, hoola hooping and more…
  • Peak Yoga on Grouse Mountain – After you’ve accomplished the grind, check out this 60 minute yoga class led every Saturday and Sunday from 10-11am
