Vancouver Shakespeare Festival, Bard on the beach
June 3 - September 25 at Vanier Park
This 2010 season will feature the Shakespeare plays: Much Ado about nothing, Antony and Cleopatra, Falstaff (Henry IV, Parts I & II) and Henry V. Pack a picnic and eat dinner before on the grass before entering an open air tent to enjoy the entertainment.

In the House Festival
June 4-6 on Commercial Drive
Private living rooms and backyards become vibrant cultural spaces open to all ages. Enjoy Vancouver's rich variety of cultures, artistic disciplines and communities. Fill your hearts with music, dance, theatre and mafic. 3 days, 19 shows, and over 60 acts in a dozen houses.

BC SPCA Spay-Ghetti and No Balls
June 5, 2010 at the Italian Cultural Centre
The SPCA's most fabulous event of 2010. Enjoy a vegetarian pasta dinner, silent auction, cash bar, and live entertainment. Tickets are $40 for general admission and money raised goes to support the BC SPCA.

Retro Design & Antiques Fair
June 13 at Croatian Cultural Centre
Over 175 booths of fun and fabulous finds for your collections. Taking place at 3250 Commercial Drive at 16TH Avenue.

Dragon Boat Festival
June 19 - 20 in False Creek
Watch a dragon boat race and experience spectacular food, entertainment and arts that reflect Vancouver's cultural diversity. To really take part in the festival, join a dragon boat team!

International Jazz Festival
June 25 - July 4 at various venues
This 10 day event is one of Canada's biggest Jazz festivals. Check out some of the world's top jazz performers on 40 stages spread across the city. Keep your eye out for Gastown's two-day street festival.

Richmond Night Market
Open late May - October in Richmond
One of the most popular locations in Vancouver during the summer. Enjoy some fried squid or bubble tea and grab a few cheap dvds.

Food Fight
June 27
Giant sculptures are made entirely from cans of food. Watch as the huge sculptures are created and donate some cans to become part of the artwork. All cans will be donated to charity after the competition is finished.

Critical Mass Bike Ride
Usually takes place on the last Friday of every month
Join hundreds of other bike riders, skateboarders and rollar bladers as they take to the streets to bring awareness to the amount of cars on the road. This event royally messes up traffic everywhere, but it's genuinely fun to bike across the Lions Gate Bridge. Meet at the Art Gallery.
