  • Santa Shuffle 5k – Short 5k run to keep you in shape during the cold, holiday season. Wear your antlers, santa hat, or anything else. Proceeds go to The Salvation Army.
  • Ugly Christmas Sweater Dash – 5K run in Port Moody to celebrate the ugly sweater. $45 for registration gets you a free toque and bottomless hot chocolate! Wear your ugliest sweater.
  • Winter Farmers Market – Weekly farmers market held at Nat Bailey Stadium.
  • The Lumière Festival –The West End puts on its BRIGHT dress to offer local and international artist their interpretation of light through interactive, colorful and magical installations in parks, streets and on buildings. Events run until Dec 8, 2017.

  • Free Self Defense Talk – A part of our Violence Dynamics seminar, this free 1-hour talk covers the basics of dealing with everyday dangers and harassment. Learn how to spot and respond quickly to a bad situation, what resources you can bring to bear against someone who threatens your safety, and how to take care of yourself after a confrontation.
  • Kensington 10th Annual Holiday Craft Fair – 70+ local artisans will be showcasing their arts and crafts. There will be door and raffle prizes, as well as refreshments.

  • Gastown Cabaret: Boy Band Christmas – Get ready for a holiday spectacular featuring three exhilarating sets of belly dancers, drag performers, comedy, thrilling live stunts, contortionists, burlesque, and random hilariousness.
  • Puzzled Pint – Crack the location puzzle, bring friends and meander to the designated location, solve fun puzzles at your leisure while enjoying brews and bites at a different pub on the 2nd Tuesday of every month.
  • The Anxiety Show – THE ANXIETY SHOW is comedians sharing about their own mental health with an OPEN MIC. Because better out than in AMIRITE? If it’s gonna suck, it might as well suck with others. The show has toured Montreal, Toronto, and is back home in Vancouver for a triumphant holiday return.
