Are you one of those people that judge others when thay mispell certain words? Do you cringe in embarrassment when others use words like “u” or “fam”? Did you notice the typos in the first sentence and it made your eye twitch? Then my grammar-loving friend, this is the event for you!
Q Shi Q Japanese BBQ is hosting their second-ever “Drunk Spelling Bee” that is just like the spelling bees your remember from grade school, but this time – alcohol is involved!
These drunk spelling bees will be held every second Tuesday evening (starting tomorrow, Tuesday, February 21) at Q Shi Q and will be sure to promise a raucous good time, especially if you know how to spell raucous without Spellcheck (not us). The restaurant will be featuring specials on Japanese bar food and exotic sake, the perfect ingredients for a good night out.
Gather your team of 5 or less to compete against other smart-ass spellers and win prizes such as beer, shots, kushi skewers, more beer, and other surprises! Be prepared to drink when your team is wrong, drink when other teams are right, and drink because the host says so! Beer is only $5 and sake shots are only $3 each for participants.
To participate: Reservations are required, contact Kayte Wilson at email@example.com to reserve your spot or call the restaurant at 604-428-7744.
