Ocean Breath Yoga is a little haven on Granville Island. Located on the south side of the island by the marina, the studio offers drop in classes for $17. There are also 3 Karma classes to choose from. There are 3 amazing teachers currently offering up their practice as seva. (service). Teachers may change but they all offer something wonderful. Wedenesday night from 6:15pm to 7:30 Strong Hatha with Amber (also the yoga guide for the Globe and Mail). Thursdays will find you a peaceful Restorative practice from 4-5pm with Nicole. On Fridays you can come and join Mandi for a Gentle Hatha from 12pm – 1pm. All mats and props are provided. PArking on the island is free for 3 hours. The bus is a very short walk away and there are bike racks everywhere.
Classes are by donation. Do what you can and if all you can do is offer a hug or help tidy up after that is worth everything. Pay it forward and share the class with a friend.
