It’s getting colder, the nights are getting longer, and there is snow showing up on the mountains. Good thing there’s also tons of wacky and wonderful things going on this November in Vancouver to keep our spirits up as we start the slow decline to Christmas! Here’s what we think are the top 10 things happening this month in our fair city:

BlanketFort Story Time

Where: The Astoria (769 E Hastings St, Vancouver)
What is it: Everyone builds a fort together, then tell stories, jokes and share music inside. It’s weird & wonderful! (more info)

Long form burlesque vancouver

Longform Burlesque

When: Friday, November 6th at 8pm
Where: The Rio Theatre (1660 East Broadway)
What is it: Six of Vancouver’s best burlesque superstars will have one chance to perform a full ten minute act. Expect outlandish props, projections, and over the top narratives. (more info)

Movies in the Morgue

When: Tuesday, November 10th at 7pm
Where: Vancouver Police Museum (240 East Cordova)
What is it: A monthly series of film screenings held right in the old Vancouver city morgue. Bring blankets and pillows to get comfortable… This month’s movie is Se7en. (more info)

We Know Nothing: Monologues of Ice & Fire

When: November 13-15th at 7pm
Where: The Cultch (1895 Venables Street)
What is it: In this series of comedic monologues inspired by Game of Thrones, host George R. R. Martin will introduce us to some of his favourite cut characters. (more info)

When: Thursday, November 19 – 22nd
Where: Various locations in East Vancouver
What is it: Vancouver’s 4-day visual arts, design and crafts festival. This event involves more than 20,000 people visiting artists in their studios. (more info)
