First Caturday at Queen Elizabeth Park

Disney Cabaret

Where: Rio Theatre
What is it: A fun and sexy homage to our favorite princesses, villains and enchanted animals featuring a talented cast that truly is the only wish your heart needs to make. Watch the Magic Kingdom turn topsy-turvy with these wild and wacky tributes. (more info)

Victory Square Block Party

When: Sunday, September 3
Where: Victory Square Park, Cambie & Hastings
What is it: An end-of-summer block party for all the cool kids in town. This musical event features local bands that you’ve probably never heard of but that are way more hip than you. 2-9pm. FREE. (more info)

Façade Festival

When: September 4 – September 10
Where: Vancouver Art Gallery (Georgia Street)
What is it: Ten contemporary Canadian artists are set to transform the Georgia Street façade of the Vancouver Art Gallery in spectacular fashion with bold, site-specific commissioned artworks. (more info)

Vancouver Pancakes & Booze Art Show

What is it: Underground art show featuring 75+ emerging artists, live body painting, music, art, and a free pancake bar! (more info)

Vancouver Fringe Festival

When: September 7 – 17
Where: Various venues around town
What is it: A celebration of theatre for everyone with more than 700 performances by over 90 artists across 11 days. Sample shows include: “How I lost One Pound” The Musical, Tightrope Talking, An Arrangement of Shoes, and more. (more info)

Accordion Noir Festival

When: September 7 – 10
Where: Various venues around town
What is it: The 10th annual festival for accordion lovers, likers, and those looking to have their minds changed. Events include a dance hall, live entertainment, a parade, and more.  (more info)

StreetFood Vancouver Festival

When: Sunday, September 10
Where: 88 Pacific Boulevard
What is it: 22 hand-picked food trucks along with Live Music, Artisan Market And Family Fun Entertainment. Free event. (more info)

Pop-Up Roller Disco
