It’s going to be a hot one! Summer is finally here and we are ready. This weekend is packed full of festivals, night markets, Velopalooza bike rides, and so much more. Check out the highlights of the weekend in the list below, including the gigantic Greek Day Festival in Kitsilano this Sunday.

  • Ole Originals Sample Sale – Ole Originals is hosting their annual Sample Sale. They’ve been lovingly designing & printing retro-style tees for 9 years now, and have more than a few shirts to sell off at amazing prices
  • Kanata on Turtle Island Festival – A food, culture and performance festival to amplify Indigenous voices by providing a platform for our true history and traditions to shine.

  • Learn Graffiti with Indigenous Artist Larissa Healey – Spend an afternoon with Indigenous graffiti artist Larissa Healey, AKA Gurl Twenty Three, and learn about the contemporary art of tagging and the traditional elements she draws influences from.
  • Art Battle Vancouver – BC Finals – A live painting competition where the best of Vancouver compete to go onto the National Championships.
  • Graham Clark’s Quiz Show – A comedy show that cherry picks the best segments of game shows and presents them all in one bizarre event! Comedians play the “contestants” with prizes for the audience. This month’s show is a fundraiser for comedy venue Little Mountain Gallery.
  • Geeks Vs. Nerds: Ending with a Bang – Geeks and nerds get together to hilariously debate interesting topics such as “which is the worst depiction of a geek/nerd?” and “which abnormal practice creates the most chaos?”
