It’s going to be a hot one! Time to celebrate the fact that Vancouver’s weather is finally cooperating by getting outside and doing something! shipyards night market 2017

North Vancouver Shipyards Market

When: Every Friday night
Where: Lower Lonsdale, North Vancouver
What is it: The weekly summer night market on the North Shore with live music, a beer garden, (A LOT of) food, art, music… Dogs are allowed and you can by things like jewelry, clothing, baking, organic meats, and much more. (more info)

Critical Mass Vancouver

When: Friday, May 26 at 6pm
Where: Meet at the Vancouver Art Gallery
What is it: On the last Friday of every month, a bike mob gets together to do a group ride. (more info)

West of Main Art Walk

When: Saturday, May 27 – Sunday, May 28
Where: Various locations
What is it: Festivities stretch from Point Grey to Main Street and from Granville Island to 41st Avenue, as a vibrant community of more than 50 artists share their works in garden studios, cafés, shops, and community centres. (more info)

The Empire Strikes Back: Burlesque Adventure

When: Friday, May 26 – Saturday, May 27
Where: Rio Theatre (1660 East Broadway)
What is it: Ever wanted to see a sexy Darth Vader? Vancouver’s favourite ‘nerdlesque’ troupe, the Geekenders, return to East Van’s Rio Theatre with a revamped version of their smash hit take on The Star Wars Classic: The Empire Strikes Back. (more info)

What is it: Tons of rad vendors selling all sorts of amazing wonders at a VARIETY of prices (including garage sale style deals). Vancouver Postcard Club Annual Show and Sale

When: Sunday, May 28
Where: Hastings Community Centre
What is it: Come see how your great-grandparents ‘tweeted’; in 1910, in BC alone – with a population of 407,000 – over 2.7 million postcards were mailed, come see why postcards are the third most collected item in the world. (more info)

Veg Expo 2017

Where: Vancouver Convention Centre
