On July 29th, the first-ever Russell & Roots concert series sponsored by Russell Brewing, will launch at Softball City in Surrey, BC with a Rock Night presented by CFOX and headlined by Marianas Trench, Big Wreck, Default, and The Wild. This new-for-2023 event series will also include an epic Country Night party on August 12th, presented by 93.7 JR Country and featuring LOCASH, James Barker Band, Meghan Patrick, Mark Ledlin, and Dane Bateman. The lineup at both shows is being rounded out with great local talent voted onto the bill through a Battle of the Bands being hosted online at russellandroots.com.
The rock night is guaranteed to be a full day celebration like no
other with a lineup of killer bands to get heads banging and fists pumping, a “Russell Mania”
pro wrestling show presented by local promoter Wrestle Core, and food trucks and ice-cold Russell Beer to keep the crowd fuelled and refreshed.
Russell & Roots is guaranteed to be a good time, but it’s also an event with a big heart, with all net profits going to support community organizations like the Surrey Fire Fighters and LIFTED Children & Youth Mental Health Foundation, an initiative created by country legend Dallas Smith. LIFTED is dedicated to ensuring that children and youth in British Columbia have access to the necessary resources and opportunities that can positively impact their lives.

With that in mind, both events are open to all ages with kids under 10 admitted free with an adult. The organizers are passionate about creating a fun and exciting event that makes a positive impact in the community and brings people together.
On August 12th, Russell & Roots will do it all again, but with a country twang! Summer and live country music go together like boots and jeans. The stellar line-up of Nashville’s LOCASH, four-time Canadian country single chart toppers James Barker Band, and back-to-back CCMA Female Artist of the Year Meghan Patrick will turn Softball City into county heaven for an unforgettable show.
This two-part event is brought to you by Russell Brewing and The Festival Company and tickets are available for July 29th from $89 (plus taxes and fees) and for August 12th from $69 (plus taxes and fees) and up.
