The Vancouver Christmas Market brings this festive Old World tradition to Vancouver. This cherished holiday event offers an authentic German feast for the senses. Stroll the twinkling pathways of a European-inspired Christmas village in the crisp winter air.
According to centuries-old tradition, many German towns host Christkindlmarkts in December; each one is unique, featuring local artisans and festive regional refreshments. Residents take the opportunity to enjoy each other’s company, sample local delicacies, shop for gifts, and share holiday cheer.
Discover unique treasures to stuff into stockings or tuck under the Christmas tree at one of the more than 80 artisan huts offering handcrafted gifts for everyone on your list. Festive foodies can sample Glühwein (mulled wine), a selection of German and Austrian beers, and a variety of sweet and savoury epicurean delights.
Get into the holiday spirit with our lively line-up of holiday entertainment, performing on the Flying Stage from Vancouver’s only Christmas Pyramid. Kids (and kids at heart!) will love riding the Christmas Carousel, embarking on a market-wide scavenger hunt, and frolicking with Vancouver Christmas Market mascots “Holly and Jolly”.
