Let’s show our gratitude for Vancouver’s epic natural beauty by dressing up in the colours of our beautiful English Bay sunsets.  Come out to this end-of-summer social in your brightest of bright pinks and oranges. We’ll run for 30 mins around the seawall and end back at David Lam Park. There we can watch the sunset go down together whilst partaking in some lawn games and drinking a bevie or two. Blending traditional Coast Salish song and regalia with contemporary music and performance, Xweýene:msta:m ?əkwəsqwel, seýeḿ asks the viewer to bear witness to the ongoing tragedy of the lost children of Canada’s residential schools and the country’s missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls. The act of honouring and remembrance in a public forum, is an important and crucial component of Coast Salish culture. On October 21 at 8 pm, Cuban-Canadian musician Alex Cuba will delight with a scintillating performance of Afro-Cuban jazz and pop.
