ArtParty! Festival Opening @ QAF 2022
What better way to kick off QAF 2022 than from the rooftop of our Chinatown digs? Stunning views, phenomenal performances, delicious food and drink, and the launch of Vanishing Act, our curated visual art exhibition curated by Adwait Singh and directed by SD Holman. Featuring rooftop beats provided by incredible guest DJs and special performances curated by Full Circle: First Nations Performance! It’s art. It’s conviviality. And it’s damned queer.
QAF 2022 is ASL Interpreted.
The Pride in Art Society produces, presents and exhibits with a curatorial vision that favours challenging, thought-provoking work that pushes boundaries and initiates dialogue, through the Queer Arts Festival (QAF), an annual, professional, artist-run, multidisciplinary festival at our home base in the heart of Vancouver’s Chinatown, the Sun Wah Centre, Vancouver’s only cemetery, Mountain View Cemetery, and/or from the comfort of your own home on your computer.
We work on the unceded territory of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) and səl̓ílwəta? (Tsleil-Waututh) peoples. To these host nations, we say thank you for your stewardship of this land since time immemorial. We recognize their sovereignty, as there are no treaties on these lands, and we are committed to building right relations based on respect and consent.
Don’t forget to grab your tickets.
