Don’t wait till the last minute to buy a boring gift card or pair of socks  for your friends and family. Vancouver is chock a block with crafty holiday markets throughout the city and beyond. Last year, the majority of them were cancelled due to covid, but in 2021 you can be certain they are back with a Christmas vengeance! 

Below we have made it easy for you to find the market that speaks to your heart and soul. Finding a gift has never been easier, as we’ve categorized the markets by weekend, from now until December 24. So what are you waiting for? Go out and get merry!

Vancouver Holiday Markets Open All December Long

The Vancouver Christmas Market serves traditional Glühwein in festive holiday cups that guests can take home with them.

Vancouver Christmas Market

When: Nov 13 – Dec 24, 2021
Where: Jack Poole Plaza, Vancouver, BC

The well-known Vancouver Christmas Market is back this year at the Olympic Cauldron next to the Convention Centre. This market aims to recreate the traditional German-style Christmas markets of Europe and relishes in delicious Glühwein treats and recipes to tempt the crowds with. Stroll through a wonderland of lights, holiday shopping, live music and their centrepiece carousel.

Eastside Flea Holiday Markets 

When: Dec 4&5. Dec 11&12, Dec 18&19, 2021
Where: 550 Malkin Ave, Vancouver, BC

Another exciting market that has returned this year  is the Eastside Flea Holiday Market,  set up for Dec 4&5, Dec 11&12 and Dec 18&19. Shop a curated roster of locally made and vintage goods that are decidedly west coast.

Little Mountain Holiday Pop-Up

When: November 24 – Dec 26, 2021
Where: Polygon Gallery, North Vancouver

This annual Pop-Up features an all-Canadian lineup of mostly-local, women-led, BIPOC makers and creatives. With dozens of vendors, The Holiday Pop-Up is the go-to destination for sustainably minded products by these sought-after makers this festive season. Join them on Thursday evenings for a festive Meet the Makers social.

Outdoor Holiday Bazaar

When: Nov 27&28, Dec 4&5, Dec 11&12, Dec 18&19, 2021
Where: 1405 Charlotte Rd., North Vancouver, BC

This pocket market on Charlotte Rd in North Vancouver focuses on local businesses, holiday food and beverages and an outdoor ambiance. Follow @einaidesigns for updated information and #pocketmarketoncharlotte

Holidays On The Block

When: December 9 – 24, 2021
Where: 2150 Alpha Avenue, just south of Brentwood mall, Burnaby, BC

Open for 12 day in December, Holidays On the Block puts the emphasis on food trucks, with a selection of local small makers, entertainers, Santa Claus and other holiday festivities. There is also a community stage showcasing local talent from all around the block.

Entry is $5 each. Tickets free for ages 6 and under.

Winter Treasures Holiday Market

When: November 12 – December 22, 2021
Where: 2425 St Johns St, Port Moody, BC

The 8th annual Winter Treasures Artisan Market in Port Moody is brimming with handcrafted gifts, pottery, jewelry, glass and art made by local BC artists. This boutique style market has more than 50 Metro Vancouver artists and artisans.

Downtown Squamish After Hours – Holiday Edition

When: Fridays December 3, 10, 17, 2021, 5pm – late
Where: Cleveland Avenue, Downtown Squamish, BC

Many of the merry merchants of Downtown Squamish will stay open late every Friday night throughout December for holiday shopping and festivities. Take a photo with Santa at the Ledge Coffee House (sign up here before spots are full). A raffle will be drawn each night at 7:45pm with your chance to win prizes. To get a raffle ticket head to the Business Improvement Association tent to show your receipts of shopping local that evening.  Many have notified us they will have special offers and/or sales on these Friday evenings only.

Migration Boutique turned their alley into a festive covered outdoor market, featuring local designers and DJs

Chanukah Market

When: November 28,  2021, 11am – 5pm
Where: Jewish Community Centre Parking Lot, Vancouver, BC

Celebrate the Jewish Festival of Lights at the first ever Chanukah Market in Vancouver. Under large heated tents, market visitors can shop at arts & crafts vendors, peruse amazing affordable art, seek out that perfect gift, enjoy live, all-ages entertainment, participate in fun family activities — or just stroll, soak up the friendly ambiance and enjoy a yummy nosh from one of the food vendors on site. The day’s festivities culminate in the lighting of the first candle on the menorah at sundown.

Free admission with a donation to the Jewish Food Bank.

Migration Holiday Makers Market

When: November 27 – 28, 2021
Where: 3620 Main St., Vancouver, BC

Turning the alley into a festive covered outdoor market, the Holiday Makers Market Alley Party is held next to the Migration boutique on Main Street in Vancouver. With a jam packed lineup of local designers, DJ’s, live musicians, food trucks, a heated tent & more, this market aims to pump up the volume on your holiday market market experience.

Magkasama Filipino Market 

When: Nov 27 – 28, 2021

While this event is mainly online, we can’t help but include it with the others because of its diverse range of food and flavour! Magkasama Market is about celebrating local Filipino owned businesses in the Lower Mainland and sharing their love of food, culture and nostalgia. Shop online by browsing the local vendors, hit purchase and then pick up at their store location Shameless Buns between Dec 3 – 5, 2021.

Weirdos Holiday Market Vancouver
The very popular Weirdo’s Holiday Market in East Vancouver will be back this year and is sure to delight your inner weirdo!

Krampusmarkt

When: Dec 3 – 5, 2021
Where: Strangefellows Brewery, 1345 Clark Drive, Vancouver, BC

Located at the Strangefellows Brewery and organized by the OH Studio Project, the KRAMPUSMARKT celebrates old world-inspired winter markets featuring handmade goods. Expect the unexpected and the extraordinary, and a fantastic choice of ceramics, jewellery, linens, baked goods, leather, cashmere and silk accessories, baskets, chocolate, florals, stationary, wall art, glass, coffee, clothing, and skincare from 30 unique artisans, as well as Beer/Cider/Wine Tastings.

Made in the 604 – Holidaze Pop-Up Market 

When: December 4 – 5, 11am – 5pm
Where: Heritage Hall, Main St., Vancouver, BC

Heritage Hall will come alive with the Holidaze Pop-up Market that supports local small businesses, entrepreneurs, makers and creators. There will be 40+ local vendors this year. Free admission.

Weirdos Holiday Market

When: December 4 – 5, 2021
Where: The Venables Hall, 1739 Venables Street, Vancouver, BC

Vancouver’s one-stop-shop for all things unusual, unique, and out of this world is back! The Weirdo’s Holiday Market has hand-picked artists with unique gifts that range from the magical to the mysterious, from the creepy to curious. This market is perfect for those looking to fulfill the quirkiest needs on their holiday shopping lists!

$4 entry fee.

Crafty Affaire Market 

When: December 4 – 5, 2021, 10am – 5pm
Where: Croatian Cultural Centre, Vancouver, BC

Crafty Affair Market promotes handmade creations and one-of-a-kind treasures, plus delicious treats. Only vendors with handmade items are accepted in this market. 

Yaletown Winter Market

When: December 4, 2021, 10am – 6pm
Where: Yaletown Roundhouse Community Centre, Vancouver, BC

Organized by the Vintage and Handmade Society, the Yaletown Winter Market will feature locally made housewares, jewellry, art, snacks, clothing, music and wellness products. 

$3 entry fee.

Japan Christmas Market

When: December 4, 2021, 10 – 4pm
Where: UBC Robson Square, Vancouver, BC

Japan Market presents over 35 vendors of Japanese inspired products and  food. There’s jewelry, health and beauty, clothes, accessories, handmade crafts, chocolate, tea, sweets and much more. 
Entry is $4 per person, or $7 for two people. Purchase online

Christmas Shipyards Market

When: December 4-5, 2021
Where: North Vancouver Shipyards

Expect to see a wide assortment of handcrafted soaps, candles, clothes, chocolates, paintings, pottery and craft spirits. There are three corridors of vendor stalls at the Christmas Shipyards Market where visitors can walk up and down each section and admire the products from each aisle. The Shipyards is a historic building used years ago by the shipbuilding industry. Now it is home to North Shore Artisan Market.

Langley Artisan Christmas Market

When: December 3 – 5 2021, 
Where: Kensington Prairie Farm Ltd., 248 Street, Aldergrove, BC,

A special 3 day Christmas Market hosted by Kensington Prairie Farm & Spring Acres Farm, this one features live music, food trucks, local vendors and a free alpaca session on the hour, every hour.

$5 entry fee

Crestway Bays Craft Market

When: December 4, 2021, 10am – 3pm
Where: Crestway Bays Clubhouse 8220 King George Blvd., Surrey, BC

Christmas Craft Market featuring handmade items for your Christmas list or perhaps a treasure for yourself. Soaps, jewelry, decor etc.

West Coast Countdown to Christmas Market

When: December 4, 2021, 10am – 4pm
Where: 26607 Fraser Hwy, Aldergrove, BC V4W 3L1, Canada

At the Aldergrove Legion the West Coast Countdown to the Christmas Market features local vendors and artisans.

Maple Ridge Christmas Craft Fair 

When: December 4, 2021, 9am – 3pm
Where: 11756 232 St, Maple Ridge, BC 

At the Christian Life Assembly grounds, this indoor and outdoor craft fair will be featuring handcrafted items from 75 vendors. There will be live music, food trucks, silent auctions, and maybe even a North Pole visitor.

Vancouver Holiday Markets: Weekend of December 10 – 12

Shipyards Christmas Market is a popular location in North Vancouver where visitors can shop in this historic building that’s been repurposed as an artisan market

Kitsmas Time On Yew

When: Dec 11 – 12, 2021, 12pm – 6pm
Where: Yew and Fourth Ave, Vancouver, BC

On the corner of Yew and 4th Avenue, Kitsmas on Yew will be having a bevy of family friendly events that showcase the merchants on 4th Ave. Illuminated light features and holiday decor will fill the area and include a tree farm and wreath making classes so you can bring the sweet scents of balsam fir home with you. There is also a stage for live events, a jingle bar, letters and photos with Santa, gift wrapping station and prizes to win throughout the weekend.

Where: 5725 Tyson Rd, Chilliwack, BC

Organized by Vedder Farm and artisan market, celebrate the festive season with a charming Christmas craft market in beautiful Watson Glen Park. Live music and treats for all to enjoy!

Vancouver Holiday Market: Weekend of December 17 – 19

Got Craft? returns to the Croatian Cultural Centre with over 80 makers, kidpreneurs, and food trucks celebrating independent craft and design

Got Craft? Holiday Market

When: December 18 – 19, 2021, 10am – 5pm

Where: Croatian Cultural Centre, 3250 Commercial Dr, Vancouver, BC

Featuring 80 makers and small shops, a kidpreneurs section (aged 5-13) and food trucks, Got Craft? returns to East Vancouver after a two year hiatus to show the best in independent craft and design. With an emphasis on handmade, Got Craft? connects makers and small shops with a conscious community seeking to support local businesses.

$5 entry fee. Bonus! Shop all weekend long! Ask for a re-entry stamp at the front desk.
